Course 1: Her First Ghusl

An in depth guided programme designed to prepare young Muslim girls for one of the most important transitions of their lives.

The My First Ghusl Six Week Online Intensive is a structured and supportive learning experience created for young Muslim girls who are approaching or have recently entered puberty. Over six carefully designed weeks, girls are gently guided through the physical, emotional and spiritual changes that come with growing up, ensuring they are prepared with clarity, confidence and Islamic understanding.

Rather than leaving girls to learn from friends, social media or confusing online sources, this programme provides trusted, accurate and faith centred guidance. Every lesson is delivered in a calm and welcoming environment where girls feel safe to learn, ask questions and understand their bodies with dignity and respect.

The course combines Islamic knowledge, practical life skills and emotional guidance, helping girls understand not only what happens during puberty but why it matters from both a health and Islamic perspective. By the end of the programme, students will feel informed, confident and spiritually aware as they enter this new stage of life.

What girls will learn

Over six weeks, the programme explores essential topics including

• Understanding puberty and the changes that happen to the body

• Recognising the signs that menstruation is approaching

• What a period is and how to manage it with confidence

• How to track menstrual cycles and understand their patterns

• Learning how and when ghusl becomes obligatory

• Step by step guidance on how to perform ghusl correctly

• Feminine hygiene and daily body care from an Islamic perspective

• Respecting the body and developing healthy personal habits

• Understanding modesty, dignity and the concept of hayaa

• Emotional wellbeing during the transition into womanhood

Scholarships Available

At Hayaa Academy, we believe that every Muslim girl deserves access to transformative, Islamically grounded education, no matter her financial circumstances. This is why we offer a monthly scholarship programme, where three girls are selected each month to attend one of our courses completely free of charge.

To apply, parents or guardians can simply fill out a short scholarship application form available on our website. All applications are reviewed with compassion and confidentiality, and selected families will be contacted before the course begins.
