My First Ghusl is a gentle online course designed for young Muslim girls who are approaching or have just entered puberty. Through an age-appropriate and Islamically grounded approach, this course introduces key topics such as menstruation, body changes, ghusl (ritual purification), and feminine hygiene. Girls will be taught not only the rulings around these changes but also the emotional and physical aspects, helping them feel confident, prepared, and spiritually aware. From understanding when periods begin and how to track them, to learning how to perform ghusl correctly and why it is important, this course ensures they are not left confused or misinformed by what they may hear elsewhere.

The course also focuses on everyday body care from both an Islamic and hygienic perspective, including how to clean private areas, the importance of water in purification, how to remove body hair safely, and how to care for their bodies with respect and dignity. Delivered in a warm and welcoming environment, this course is ideal for younger girls to learn the essentials before they encounter these topics through peers or media. It is an opportunity to equip them with the knowledge and confidence they need to grow with hayaa, strength, and a deep connection to their faith.

This is why we offer a monthly scholarship programme, where three girls are selected each month to attend one of our courses completely free of charge.
